چکیده

The presence of high iron (Fe) content in water consumption is a major factor that causes health and aesthetic problems. Its amount samples can be reduced by combining the aeration filtration methods treatment. method basically involves making direct contact between air water, which usually done adding both together. Subsequently, uses porous media like sand, gravel, activated charcoal to filter water.This research compares effectiveness aeration, filtration, combined aeration-filtration For method, form trays aerator arranged 6 levels with distance 20cm used along varied time duration 1, 3, 5 hours. In addition, quartz carbon, palm fiber, coral were as for method. results obtained % value removal at hours 46.95; 78.2; 82.48; 72.32; 81.71; 87.24; 70.44 shows working tools. combination provides maximum when compared using alone or alone.
